The Best Wedding Investments
It was a magical day. My new husband and I were totally engrossed in the festivities and celebrations, it felt as though the day just slipped away from us. My wedding day was something that I had been planing for a little over a year, and when it finally arrived, seemed to fly on by!
We just received our photos from our wedding photographer the other day and were looking through them together over the weekend. They were stunning and brought back the emotions and excitement of the day. Although as I thought about it a little more, I started thinking about some of the things that maybe did not get enough attention in our planning.
Here are some of the best investments for your wedding day. They are things that will generate many years of happy returns.
Wedding Photographer - This is the greatest investment! You can go and look at a photographer's portfolio, and get recommendations, but nothing will be more valuable than sitting with a photographer and learning more about their process. The best photographers in Florida will most certainly cost a lot, but these memories will last your lifetime. For many years to come, you will be able to travel back in time to your greatest day ever. The investment is worth it.
Wedding Dress - You will only get to wear this dress once, but that justifies the investment. It is your day, and your day to shine. All the eyes are on you the bride, and so that is a great reason to look your absolute best. Do what you need to, to help yourself radiate your joy and excitement.
Select Your Bridal Party Carefully - There is that movie where the main character has been in 20+ bridal parties. There is no way that she can be a close intimate friend to all those ladies. Your bridal party will not only make your wedding day the best day ever but will be in your life for years to come. You will get to go through the photos together on your anniversaries and reminisce. So quality over quantity applies to those who stand beside you at your wedding.
Invite Who You Want - You might find the guest list becoming very political. Your parents or future in-laws may want to invite certain friends and family members. It is meant to be a joyful day that unites you and the love of your life. Speak up respectfully and ask that your day be one that you get to spend with the people who will walk through life with.
I hope that your wedding day is as beautiful as you and the start of a beautiful journey with the man of your dreams!
